The Ferry Ride

Next we drove Gary's Rav4 onto the "Delaware" ferry and it took us an hour and twenty minutes across the Delaware Bay to Lewes (LEW-ES). We stopped there only for ice cream but found out that not all Dairy Queens have a restroom and had to make another stop at an Exxon.

(This was not OUR ferry but one that looked just like it.)

This was the "ferry station," or something like that...

This WAS our ferry as we were driving onto it.

Joan and Gary as we were pulling away from the tip of New Jersey, heading out across the water where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean.

That IS the Atlantic behind me!
